2. CorkRubber has a Third Dimension

Amorim Industrial Solutions investment in R&D has focused primarily on meeting the competitive requirements of the automotive industry.

Over the last years, Amorim Industrial Solutions has carried out intensive research using new products in combination with CorkRubber, including Vamac, Acrylic, Vitone and Silicone, among others. This research has focused mainly on sealing systems, where CorkRubber is essential.

Research & Development - CorkRubber The analysis of the tests led to the conclusion that the performance of moulded CorkRubber tested among the best materials on the market. The factors that mostly contributed to this success were resistance to her and compressive stress relaxation (CSR).
Other analyses were pursued to replace the materials used, or to evolve from them, namely with alternative chemistry technologies. As a result, a new family of automotive gaskets was developed, and new forms were designed to improve the performance of all CorkRubber materials.

The trend of the automotive industry to use unlevelled flanges, led Amorim Industrial Solutions to develop and introduce a range of innovative gaskets in CorkRubber moulded with three dimensions. This new product line offers excellent sealing properties, due to their three dimensional characteristics, their strong resistance to high temperatures and the excellent performance they offer in engine applications. With this important investment in technological research, Amorim Industrial Solutions proved once more that CorkRubber is a preferential material for the automotive industry.
