Ergonomics in the development of is an anti-fatigue mat designed and tested in accordance with ergonomic studies performed by the independent ergonomic divisions from the University of Lisbon (Portugal) and University of Siegen (Germany). Benefits of utilization are tested and sustained by Ergonomic Department of Technical University of Lisbon and University of Siegen, by means of:

• Optimization of the mat surfaces, pattern and materials composition.
• Evaluation of the reaction forces and pressure in the plantar foot during walking (Pedar System by Novel).
• Evaluation of the displacements of the mat and the subjective opinion of the workers.
• Evaluation of the mat durability by performing a test of extreme fatigue conditions.
• Prototype in a real world situation with standing work postures to evaluate the effects of the on physical complaints by means of a structured questionnaire.

Industrial Use

Ideal for usage in production lines, assembly areas, warehouse, packing stations, workbenches, ramps, walkways, checkout/cashier counters, airport boarding gates and retails environments.
Can be used in Wet/Oil and Dry areas.

		Shock Absorption
		Foot hitting the mat depresses the mat surface very slightly and thus generates energy absorption, reduction of the effort at the articulary level and reduction of the pressure at the plantar foot.
		Thermal Comfort
		Added by the Cork structure of hermetic air-filled cells that are the cause of its low thermal conductivity and therefore results in a higher protection of the worker from hot and cold surfaces.
		Softness
		Muscles will subtly contract and relax as they adjust to the flexibility of the mat, pumping the blood against gravity back to the heart improving circulation and reducing muscle fatigue.
