General Sealing

Amorim Industrial Solutions CorkRubber products offer many of the advantages of rubber compounds, along with the added benefit of controlled compressibility and recovery. The addition of cork granules to the compound helps to decrease the amount of flow or creep that occurs in compounds that are only made with rubber. This also creates a better distribution of load when compression occurs between bolt spans.

CorkRubber grades are manufactured with a variety of compounds including Neoprene, Nitrile, Ethylene Acrylic, Polyacrylate, SBR and Silicone. This provides the necessary sealing features such as fluid or temperature resistance.

In Electrical Transformers, the resistance to the several types of oils commonly used is obviously of primary importance, and the ability to seal the entire range (from Small Distribution to Large Power Transformers) on a long-term basis demonstrates versatility of our materials.

The following products are available for this application:

This is a firm CorkRubber material suitable for medium bolt pressure with good flexibility and resilience. The physical characteristics make this a highly qualified material for gas regulators. This material is approved by DVGW.
1237 is a high compressible material suitable for low and medium bolt pressure, with good flexibility and resilience. The physical characteristics along with oil and fuel resistance make this a qualified material for automotive and industrial gaskets.
This is a highly compressible material suitable for low and medium bolt pressure, with good flexibility and resilience. The physical characteristics along with oil and fuel resistance, make this a qualified material for automotive and industrial gaskets.
