San Antonio, Texas, USA — November 13, 2006 — Amorim Industrial Solutions exhibited at the 2006 Small Engine Technology Conference in San Antonio, Texas in November. This conference was attended by design engineers and managers from the major manufacturers of small engines worldwide including Honda, Kohler, and Briggs & Stratton.
Amorim Industrial Solutions emphasized its engineered sealing solutions for small engine technology using a combination of specialized elastomers and cork micro granules. The exhibit used a small gas engine as an example of how technical support is available to design the right solution for unique characteristics, such as: flange surface variations, component materials, bolt design, bolt spans, and operating environments.
Amorim Industrial Solutions, the world leader in cork rubber technology, demonstrated its R & D capabilities in developing a range of materials that meet or exceed small engine technology requirements. These grades were well received by the attendees, who had an opportunity to discuss these advancements.
SETC 2006 was co-hosted by the Society of Automotive Engineers from the United States and Japan. The conference theme was Future Trends in Small Engine Technology focusing on Engines; Fuels and Lubricants; Safety and Human Factors; Vehicle Dynamics and Structure; Noise, Vibration and Harshness; Environmental Impact; Components and Materials; and Production Technology. The conference is only held in the U.S. once every three years, alternating between locations in Asia and Europe.
