Lisbon, Portugal — January 15, 2003 — Boeing recently launched its new rocket, Delta IV, into space. Its mission to transport the Eutelsat W5 satellite, built by Alcatel Space in France.
The success of the Delta IV's mission marks the beginning of a new era in global space transport, according to Boeing representatives. With this launch, the first rocket flights of the Delta IV family was begun.
Materials made by Amorim Industrial Solutions were used in the Delta IV for thermal insulation of the rocket's engines. Our involvement in this project is the result of a joint strategy that we have been working on in this market for a number of years.
With our involvement in this and other similar projects, Amorim Industrial Solutions has revealed its full potential in Research & Development and, above all, the capacity to develop and engineer products for critical applications. This capacity is the result of the large investment in R & D that Amorim Industrial Solutions began back in the 1990's and has continued into this decade.
